We are super excited to announce the midnight rele

We are super excited to announce the midnight release party for Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros, the sequel to Fourth Wing. This book will be released on Tuesday, November 7th. We are thrilled to inform you that we are one of the few bookstores in the country that have been selected by the publisher to be given exclusive book launch items for this highly-anticipated title!

Our Iron Flame Book Release Party will be held on Monday, November 6th beginning 10:00pm. This event is by invitation only. In order to receive a ticket to the party you will need to pre-order the book in store. On the day of the event, the store will be open to browse and meet other huge fans of this fabulous series, and of course the star of the show, “Iron Flame” will be handed out to customers beginning at midnight. There will also be trivia games and other surprises!

Luna is celebrating her second Halloween with us by throwing a party, and everyone's invited! There will be games, face painting, an artist doing Halloween paintings, a costume contest, and of course plenty of candy.

Join us and Third Gen Coffee in celebrating the spooky season on October 29th from 10am-3pm

You may arrive at anytime during the party to compete in the costume contest. All participates will have their photos taken for both the Buy The Book and Third Gen staff to narrow down their top three for the four categories (ages 7 and under, 8-12, 13+, and pets). We will then have all of you vote on Facebook and Instagram the winner for each group.

There's something for everyone in this painting class!

New artists can learn the basics, while those with experience can add new techniques and hone their painting skills with an experienced artists and instructor.

If online instruction has you frustrated, if you are intrigued by what you see on Pinterest, or if you want to try something new....sign up today!

This is a four week class that is $125, with one make up class per session.
(Call the store for single class pricing)

Tuesdays 1-3 PM beginning September 12th through October 3rd. Limit of 10 participants!

Basic supply list for beginners is listed below. Experienced painters can add what they have and use any size stretched canvas or wood panels.

Supplies to Bring: Student grade (sometimes called Level 2) tube acrylics: Cadmium red medium, Cadmium yellow medium, Ultramarine Blue, Titanium white. IMPORTANT: Master's Touch by Hobby Lobby or Beginner sets with teeny tubes will not give good results! Look for Grumbacher Academy, Winsor and Newton Galleria, or even Liquitex Basics.

Canvas: 11x14 or 12x12 are good project sizes to start with.

Paper palette

Brushes: nothing too pricey...Hobby Lobby or Michaels does brushes well...long handles, 3-4 ..a mix of filbert and flats, size 4-12, nylon or taklon...no natural or bristles!

Water container that will not tip...no paper cups

We will add more as we go along!
